[Important Noice] Cause of system instability in Nov 2016

After renewal, we observed the system down once for a few days interval.
Having investigated the issue, we found someone is attacking our site with random id and password trials.
The login attempts were too many at the same time so that our system could not keep on live, then eventually downed.
To prevent this attack, we have implemented the captcha function on login page. It would be one more extra effort for you to login, but we hope you could kindly understand.

Since we ban the account if the login attempts to that specific account are failed a few times in a row, it is less likely user accounts are hacked.
Rather it seemed to us that attacker found or stolen some id/password set somewhere else, then try those to our site.
If you are using the same id/password pair somewhere else, we recommend you to check your balance page see if any unintended payout request was made or not. Also we recommend you to change the password in this case.

Facebook login

In the renewal of this quiz site, we added a new feature: Facebook login.

If you are new to Satoshi quiz, register with Facebook will let you connect both Facebook account and Satoshi quiz site account together. The advantage is you don`t need to memorize so many different logins and can reduce registration works.

If you are using the same email on both Facebook and Satoshi quiz, your Facebook login will connect to your existing account. On the other hand, if your registered email is different from Facebook, your facebook login will generate a new account automatically. So please be careful if you find your account information is different after Facebook login.

Numbers

We remember some of our users questioned about the number of our platform in chat. Have you ever thought about what is the meaning of the following numbers?

1. The number inside the brackets. Example: Satoshiquiz (3599). The winner on Award page.

2. The little star next to winners` names.

For no. 1, the exact meaning depends on different awards. The number inside the bracket on Award Winner Board is the number of total correct answers that user has answered. In Hall of Fame, the number is accumulated from the very beginning when the user joined our quiz. Some users has a very high number! Means they have answered so many questions! Thank you!

For no.2, there is a little star next to winners' names in faucet mode. If you look closely, you can see a tiny little number inside the star. This is the rank of the user. Different ranks with different colors. Actually, it is just a little trick for users to easily recognise other users are in same rank or not. If you could not see it clearly, please go to “My Account” --> "Award"page, you can find your rank in “Statistics” section.

If you have been playing with us for a period of time, you may notice that we have renewed our quiz site.

The following improvements have been done.

1.     New menu

If you click on “My Account” on the right top corner, the new menu will be displayed on the left hand side. You can check your balance by clicking on “BALANCE” button and check your award on this page too. You can also deposit/withdraw bitcoin, Update password, change to premium account and do referral under this “My account” page.

2.     Responsive web design (RWD)

If you are using our quiz site on mobile or other devices, you may find that the design has been improved. Our quiz site is now automatically changes to fit the device you are reading it on. We hope it will let you  to play on different devices more easily.

3.     System performance

Our system has been enhanced recently, the speed of processing has been increased. Try to experience by using different menu and of course during the quiz games, you may feel the differences!

Your balance will be shown on the page “MyStats”.

To see your balance, login then click the button “MyStats” on the right top corner of main page. All your balance details will be shown.

You may have a question, why my balance is different from my earnings.

Let`s take a look of our prize scheme first. Only the first three users answered correctly can get the prizes. The first user can get 60% of the prize, second user can get 30% of the prize and the third user can get 10% of the prize. Furthermore the prize for general quiz is adjusted by rank factors as follows:

Rank 9: Gets 40% of the prize

Rank 8: Gets 60% of the prize

Rank 7: Gets 70% of the prize

There are three kind of awards in this quiz.

Daily awards: Awarded daily to the user who gives the most correct answers for that day. 10,000 satoshis will be awarded.

Weekly awards: Awarded weekly to the user who gives the most correct answers for that week. 50,000 satoshis will be awarded.

Monthly awards: Awarded monthly to the user who gives the most correct answers for that month.100,000 satoshis will be awarded.

Game modes. What are the difference?

Right now, we have two game modes.
Faucet Mode and Solo Challenge Mode.
The one you see on our top page is the faucet mode where you could join at your convenience. If you are new to Satoshi Quiz, we recommend you to try Faucet Mode, then you will experience how our site work at no expense. 

After a while, when you get used to our site and earned some satoshi on your hand, you can also try Solo Challenge Mode where you may have chance to earn more satoshi at once.

At first, we would like to explain the basic concept and terminology used in our Saothi Quiz.

What is satoshi?
Satoshi is a unit of bitcoin which 1 bitcoin = 100,000,000 Satoshis.

What is a Bitcoin (BTC)?

Bitcoin is a type of digital currency in which encryption techniques are used to regulate the generation of units of currency and verify the transfer of funds, operating independently of a central bank.

How to earn bitcoin in SatoshiQuiz?
Easy! Just answer the questions!Simply register and login then answer the questions. There are also different awards and prizes that you may get depend on your results and rank.

To withdraw bitcoin, connect your bitcoin address to SatoshiQuiz.
This is important! Once you gain an amount of satoshis, you can withdraw it by entering your bitcoin address on MyStats page. The bitcoin payments are processed once on every Sundays. To withdraw bitcoin please go to My Stats page and submit the Withdrawal request. Minimum withdrawal is 11,000 satoshis.
